Crossroads Strategies Adds Schumer and Amazon Veteran Lucy Panza
Panza Served as Leadership Counsel for Sen. Schumer and Led the Tech Giant’s Democratic Outreach; 12+ Years of Broad Policy Experience
WASHINGTON – Adding to its ranks of experienced advisors and strategists, bipartisan government relations firm Crossroads Strategies, LLC (CRS) announced the addition of Lucy Panza as Executive Vice President. Panza is a legislative expert and former counsel to Senate Democratic Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer. With more than a dozen years of policy experience advising lawmakers at the highest levels of the U.S. Senate, Panza joins from Amazon where she led the company’s outreach to Senate Democrats and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Prior to that she held multiple senior roles in U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer’s leadership office and at the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Prior to entering the private sector, Panza served as leadership counsel to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, where she played a critical role through two government shutdowns and in passing dozens of pieces of legislation, including government funding bills.
At Amazon, in addition to leading the company’s outreach to Senate Democrats and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, she focused on a wide range of policy issues including competition and antitrust, consumer privacy, telecommunications, workplace health and safety, tax, and immigration, sustainability and environmental corporate responsibility, diversity in media and film, and more.
While working in the U.S. Senate, Panza worked on the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, new immigrant green card provisions, and legislation to help compensate victims of terror. She also served as Counsel to Senator Schumer when he served on the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration & the National Interest to U.S., and before that, as a Legislative Assistant to then-U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, and as a policy analyst at the Center for American Progress.
Panza holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from New York University. She is a proud immigrant from Argentina and resides in Maryland with her family.
