Crossroads Strategies Expands its Dynamic, Bipartisan Team With Senior Capitol Hill Aides Jaeger and Porroa-Garcia

CRS Adds Seasoned Experts from Both Parties with Decades of Combined Policy Experience Including on Health Care, Financial Services, Technology, and Communications Issues

WASHINGTON – Adding to its ranks of experienced advisors and advocates, bipartisan government relations firm Crossroads Strategies, LLC (CRS) today announced the addition of Cheryl Jaeger as principal and Ivelisse Porroa-Garcia as senior vice president. Both Jaeger and Porroa-Garcia are veteran policy aides with deep experience crafting and shepherding legislation on Capitol Hill. Both bring extensive House and Senate insights, relationships, and proven track records covering a variety of policy areas to CRS. Jaeger, a health care policy expert, served in the House Majority Leader’s office under then-Leader Eric Cantor, on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and for then-Congressman Roy Blunt. Porroa-Garcia, the former Policy Director for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, adds policy heft on issues ranging from financial services to health care and technology to communications.

“The actions of the federal government impact the entire country; Cheryl and Ivelisse understand that and bring extraordinary reach to the team at CRS,” said CRS Chairman John Green. “We are a collaborative team and are accustomed to working shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients to solve their biggest challenges. Both our CRS team and our clients will benefit from their strategic perspectives and deep relationships on Capitol Hill.”

“Cheryl and Ivelisse have demonstrated they can get results on the issues that matter,” added CEO Mat Lapinski. “Their policy depth is tremendous and they understand how important it is to anticipate and manage policy challenges before they become policy problems. That’s why clients count on us and just part of why we are so excited to add them to CRS during this dynamic time in Washington.”

Cheryl Jaeger joins CRS as a Principal. With over two decades of experience, Cheryl is well known for her substantive health care policy knowledge, strategic counsel, and ability to creatively address client priorities with real results. Prior to entering the private sector, Cheryl advised the House Republican leadership team on health care policy for nine years. She was a senior policy advisor to former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and former Senator Roy Blunt when he served in House Leadership. She also served as professional staff on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Cheryl received her B.A. from the University of Virginia and her Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.

Ivelisse Porroa-Garcia joins CRS as a Senior Vice President. She is recognized as an effective advocate for clients in the financial services, health care, technology, and communications sectors.
